If you are a Veteran, Active Duty or Retired, caregiver, or family member you have a spot in Artistic Innovation. Get ready to take your yoga off the mat and into the art studio. Quiet the mind to get in touch with your intuition. Inspire creative ideas. Your instructors are wellness professionals dedicated to helping individuals achieve their wellness goals. Each workshop contains 55 minutes of Yoga, multiple breaks, an artistic activity and time for reflection.
Spring Series – The snow and ice of winter is melting, and the weather is warming. The ground still feels heavy and moist, but spring is near. Plants are growing and our bodies naturally long for a fresh, clean start to life. It is time to emerge from the winter’s slumber and lighten up to experience joy and inspiration. Below are the themes for our Spring series.
Workshop one: Saturday, April 13 – Focus on Cultivating Creativity and the Power of the Abstract
Workshop two: Saturday, April 27 – Focus on Germinating, Growing Creativity and Handmade seed paper
Workshop three: Saturday, May 11 – Focus on Nurturing Creativity and a Word Play to grow
Workshop four: Saturday, May 25 – Focus on Budding Creativity with a watercolor mix media
Workshop five: Saturday, June 8 – Focus on Reclaiming Creativity with Found Object Sculpture
Workshop six: Saturday, June 22 – Focus on Joy in Creativity and a Spring Scavenger Hunt
Every other Saturday, all workshops run 2pm-5pm
Tuition: FREE to all Active Duty, Veteran, Retired Veteran and Family of Military
Special Note: Students MUST register 48 hours in advance! Please register as early as possible to ensure your seat! You can register for any one workshop day or as many as you like.
