Chester Kasnowski is a multi-disciplinary artist who believes in the power of tradition and history. Trained in classic practices, Kasnowski introduces contemporary art theories that add value. In The Scenic Route, Kasnowski engages with the history of landscape imagery and modernizes the genre through his use of abstracted brush strokes. The artist and art educator has been successful in producing various mediums including acrylic, digital, video and conceptual art. Chester Kasnowski continues to practice combining concepts and knowledge gained from years of working in visual arts and history.

Chester Kasnowski, a veteran of the United States Air Force, earned a BFA from the Dayton Art Institute and an MFA from Tulane University. Kasnowski has been an arts educator for more than 30 years, given workshops, written art reviews and has held positions at the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Southern Vermont Art Center. He has received many awards and acknowledgements including a National Endowment for the Arts grant. He has exhibited worldwide in both solo and group shows; and his works can be found in several private collections as well as museums such as the Guggenheim Museum (New York), the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and the Stedelijk (Amsterdam). Chester Kasnowski currently is an arts educator the Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC and the Workhouse Arts Center.
