Giacomo Gamble: Hiding in Plain Sight

November 15 - December 10

Hiding in Plain Sight

Giacomo Gamble
On View November 15 – December 10, 2017
Reception: December 9, 2017

Artist Statement
I make relief prints and videos. The work is based on inspiring situations; visions that reflect a sense of the mundane and contemplation. A recording of space and time is present, but recognizable forms are inversed as their true nature is lost through isolation. I try to develop these forms as a way to breakdown preconceptions about self-identify, creating new meaning through masking, subjective associations and formal parallels.

About the Artist
Giacomo Gamble was born 1993 in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up on Long Island, and moved to Saint Augustine, FL in 2004 where he resided until graduate school. Giacomo received his BFA in Fine Art from Flager College in 2015 and is currently pursuing his MFA in Printmaking from George Mason University. Most recently, Giacomo was included in a group show at NOVA Alexandria Fine Art Gallery titled, “Aftermath: Cycles of Rebuilding”, currently on view through mid-December.
