Workhouse Arts Center is pleased to present Natural Law, an exhibition exploring the works of two Korean artists, Janghan Choi and Seung Jeon Paik, and their multifaceted references to the relationship between existence, human behavior and nature. It is by no coincidence that both Choi and Paik focus on natural creation, because as Western culture finds perfect beauty in the human form, Eastern culture finds perfect beauty in nature. In Korea, discovering harmony between spirit and the environment are important within society. Natural Law, set during the airing of the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, Korea, presents two vastly different mediums which amplify the qualities of natural materials by way of perspective, form and color. Inspired by ideas of integrity and union, these works address the uniformities and regularities of the world.
Janghan Choi and Seung Jeon Paik are new studio artists at Workhouse Arts Center located in Building 6.
