SCAPE Open Art Studio
May 20 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Open Art Studio art-making sessions through the Workhouse SCAPE program are available to active duty and retired service members and their families. Sessions are not therapy or medical treatment, but rather allow participants to explore their creativity, inspire and be inspired, and grow with others.
Two types of Open Art Studio sessions are available throughout the year and are offered on alternating weeks. Sessions typically focus exclusively on active duty and retired servicemembers, while sessions on the second Saturday of each month servicemembers may bring family members with them.
The Workhouse Art Therapist will be available for an hour after each Open Art Studio session to meet with participants to discuss artwork or other topics.
All materials are provided. Participants are welcome to take their art home, though art may be left at the Workhouse if space is available. Exhibition opportunities for works created through the Open Art Studio program may be available in the future.
