WMAI – Recovery Forge Forging Open Studio

An event every week that begins at 12:00pm on Sunday and Saturday, repeating until November 18, 2018
The Workhouse Arts Center has partnered with Recovery Forge for Metal Forging!
If you are a Military Veteran, Active Duty or Retired, Every weekend you can join Adam Porras of Recovery Forge for free open studio time in forging.
Recovery Forge’s main mission is to teach blacksmithing and bladesmithing to Wounded Warriors, Active Military, Veterans, and First Responders.
Due to the nature of this activity it is mainly held outdoors and thus subject to cancellation when weather is poor or too cold. To keep up-to-date on when the Forge must close, please consider liking the Recovery Forge and the WMAI Facebook pages.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday – Weather Permitting
Hours: 12pm- 5pm Saturdays and 12pm-4pm Sundays
Where: Building 9A (located on north side of the center between buildings 9 and 10)
Cost: FREE for Wounded Warriors, Active Military, Veterans, Retired Veterans and First Responders
At the heart of The Workhouse Military in the Arts Initiative’s mission is the desire to help improve the quality of life for Military Service members and their families. Your support enables the WMAI to continue providing this Open Studio program, art therapy and other arts experiences to Military service members and their families/care-givers in our community.
