The Workhouse Arts Center will present the 2nd Annual Art, Wine & All That Jazz Festival on October 2! The festival follows in the footsteps of many historic performances at the Workhouse. During the 1950s and 1960s, the famous Lorton Prison was the setting for regular concerts by musical stars such as Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Johnny Hodges, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. This year, the Workhouse will welcome back a few favorites along with a range of new and exciting talent! Lisa Berigan of Washington's BIG 100.3FM will be the official host of Art, Wine and All That Jazz! Lisa will be here from 5-7pm and guests will have the chance to participate in jazz trivia contests, a silent auction, raffles for art, wine and other fabulous giveaways throughout the day! Wine tastings and delicious food will be available, along with children's activities in the Kid Zone. As visitors wander the Workhouse's expansive grounds between performances; they can visit booths in the Marketplace, interact with more than 125 artists and attend exciting lectures on art and wine. Each ticket includes commemorative wine glass, unlimited wine tastings and access to all jazz performances. A VIP Ticket includes an intimate setting inside the VIP Jazz Café, valet parking, performer access and a seat at the Chef's Table, hosted by Workhouse Chef Kathleen Linton. Come to the Workhouse for wonderful local wineries, exquisite food pairings, spectacular art demonstrations and all-day jazz performances.
