What Remains Behind Lucy Burns Museum (Building 2) On view June 14 - August 12, 2018 What Remains Behind features moments captured in early 2002 at the recently abandoned D.C. Correctional Facility at Lorton. That year, Fairfax County acquired much of the property of the former prison along with many of the buildings. Photographer Dave Anglin was asked by Fairfax County to fulfill documentation requirements for the National Trust for Historic Preservation as well as to provide a permanent record of the prison immediately after it closed. Madhaunter’s Madhouse

The Workhouse Arts Center is thrilled to announce the return of the Madhaunter’s Madhouse haunted maze of terror – to the Workhouse (9518 Workhouse Road, Lorton, VA 22079) on select nights in October, 2018. Screams will echo across the Workhouse’s 55-acre historic campus, built on the grounds of the abandoned and notorious DC Department of Corrections Lorton Reformatory.
