On November 20, 2001, a Congressional act officially closed the historical DC Prison Correctional Complex located in Lorton, Virginia. Unfortunately, there was no formal closure for the hundreds of correctional employees that worked in Lorton.

On Saturday September 22, 2012 from 11:00am to 4:00pm there will be a Homecoming and Reunion for all current and former employees at the Lorton Correctional Complex. The celebration will be held at the Workhouse Arts Center, formerly the Occoquan Facility.

There will be a brief program, followed by food (catered by Dixie Bones Barbeque), fun and entertainment. The Amazing Gospel Souls, whose members are former offenders from Lorton, and DJ Darryl Stewart of KDDZ Entertainment will perform. Tours of the Workhouse Arts Center will also be available. You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chair seating.

$12 Children (3-12)
