Glass artist, David Barnes, and pastel and mixed media artist, Lynn Goldstein, have been working in very different media while exploring similar themes. In this show, they have collaborated on pieces that express their perceptions of the landscape in glass and mixed media.

Included is work by Barnes, work by Goldstein, and work that they have produced together. The collaborative pieces were started by one artist, requiring the other to respond to what had been done to ensure a cohesive finished work. This approach necessitated that Barnes and Goldstein incorporate aspects of each other’s artistic interpretation in order to complete the artwork. Both artists have held studio spaces at the Workhouse Arts Center since 2008, and have admired each other’s work since that time. This is the first time that they have worked together, and they are excited to share their individual and collaborative art.
