Statement

Images pass before us constantly as we go through our daily activities. Most flash by, rarely calling attention to themselves. But upon closer examination, each reveals vignettes, and personalities that reflect the beauty in everyday life. I try to see that scene within a scene that deserves more than a passing glance, that rewards a viewer's attention, and that reminds us that seemingly insignificant things are often important. I use digital processing techniques to enhance the attraction of a viewer to an image, without losing touch with the reality of the scene.

I have been active in the League of Reston Artists, The Art League in Alexandria, and the Workhouse Arts Center at Lorton. Other exhibits include the Waterford Festivals, Arts in Public Places, and the Fairfax Council of Arts. I was guest speak on "Photographers of Northern Virginia", Fairfax County Channel 10, and was honored to have one of my pictures selected for the cover issue of the Journal of American Water Resources Association.

I have a degree in photography and have continued art studies at George Mason University.
