Host Your Event

Whether it is a social or a business event that you are planning, the Workhouse Arts Center will provide a unique setting to help you create an event as distinctive as it is memorable. The campus-like design of the Workhouse is comprised of classically inspired buildings, arched walkways, and a spacious, grassy quad area. The historic buildings, with their Colonial Revival-style architectural detail and rich history, provide artistic inspiration that will create an amazing experience for wedding receptions, reunions, and other social or business events. The Workhouse Arts Center is conveniently located in Fairfax County, north of Occoquan and just off of I-95 on Route 123, at the corner of Ox Road and Lorton Road.

Gallery
Building

Currently, the newly renovated Gallery Building and the Quad are available for hosting your special event. The Gallery building is a two-story structure ideal for reunions, receptions, parties, or meetings. The two floors can be rented out separately or together. The first floor can accommodate 160 people for a standing reception, while the second floor can accommodate up to 100 people for a standing reception or 75 prople for a seated dinner.

Quad

The core area of the Quad, which was designed in the early 20th centuary to promote positive social interaction, is bordered on two sides by brick-lined arcades that connect the artist's studio buildings. The quad area provides an open, fresh ambiance for outdoor celebrations, weddings, dinners and receptions.
