Statement

Painting for me is a great adventure. At the start of each new piece, I wonder about the outcome and realize I don't know if it will be great or disappointing. Nevertheless, even the bad times have value and the good are glorious. I have stored paintings in my mind for fifty years. It is great to finally get them out!

Bio

When I was quite young I was engaged in some form of creative expression most of the time, but set those things aside until about 2 years ago. What prompted me to pick up a pastel after all those years is still a bit of a mystery to me, but I'm so glad I did. Now I see the world with "new" eyes, constantly observing my surroundings, the light, and the atmosphere-and have found potential paintings everywhere!
My biggest problem is finding the time to paint them all! I'm a wife, mother, grandmother and full-time employee of Merrifield Garden Center, where for twenty-five years I have been able to do challenging and creative projects.
At this point, I cannot include art education, exhibits or awards, but those may be yet to come!
