Statement

I want my art to start a conversation with the viewer – each bringing our own unique perspective to the dialogue – I want my art to become a collaboration, rather than a monologue.


Bio

Kirsten Schneider has been all about art for as long as she can remember. Since she drew her first portrait in pencil, “Dad with beer”, at age 6, she has been painting, drawing with pastel or pencil, and designing in Illustrator & Photoshop. In a former life, she was the Production Manager of Washington FAMILY Magazine & Art Director/Web Designer at MacImpressions, she also served as a Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Commission on the Arts for the City of Fairfax & was an incorporator and Treasurer for the Foundation for the Arts. Kirsten has won awards for her expressive portraits. She works in oil, acrylic and pastel and is available for commissions.
