Performing Arts Venues for Rent
W-3 Theatre in the Youth Arts Center (Building W-3)
New intimate 100-seat theater with individual stadium-style seating on collapsible bleachers. When bleachers are retracted it allows for option of doing floor seating for chairs, with or without tables. Stage size is approximately 25’ x 25’. Ideal for the following:
- Plays and small musicals
- Children’s theater
- Film screenings
- Music and dance performances and recitals
- Theater classes and workshops
- Lectures/readings
McGuireWoods Gallery (Building W-16)
Second floor of art gallery can hold 100-120 individual chairs set auditorium style. Also have option of using round tables with chairs. Hardwood floor, no stage, sound system included. Setup is partially dependent on the art exhibit but the artwork adds to the total arts experience. Ideal for the following:
- Music and dance performances and recitals
- Ballroom dances
- Lectures/readings
Dance Studios (Building W-11)
Studio building outfitted with two dance classrooms with bars and mirrors. Ideal for the following:
- Dance and music classrooms/workshops
- Rehearsal space for music and theater programs
Costs
Use of these Workhouse facilities is offered at competitive rental rates. Technical and/or box office support is an option for an additional fee.
Availability
Availability of each venue is based on the general schedule of Workhouse classes and productions. Additionally, physical limitations may exist due to such things as the current gallery exhibit and theater production setups. Every consideration is made to try and accommodate our guests.
