Traci Oberle is a Northern Virginia artist who works with water media and collage to render landscapes and structures that reveal passage of time. She uses paint with a degree of transparency to build up layers of saturated color, creating realistic images with areas of abstraction. Her inspiration comes from observations of the natural world and the built environment and from the work of other artists including Edward Hopper, Ranulph Bye and Dean Mitchell
