The Workhouse Arts Center is thrilled to offer Drive-In Movies: Socially Distanced Flicks for the Family on campus every Friday and Saturday through August 2020.
The Drive-In Movie Theatre will be set up with a 40 foot screen on campus and will be limited to 75 vehicles at $30 per vehicle. All tickets will be purchased online and parking location will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Options to purchase a packaged snack box will also be available. Alternatively, movie goers may bring their own snacks or meals purchased from local restaurants.
Showtime is 9:00 pm and gates open at 8:15 pm.

Volunteers are our stars! We are in need of volunteers for the Drive-In Movies in a number of capacities including checking in guests, sharing information on bathrooms and parking instructions, assisting parking, assisting guests as they pick-up their pre-ordered and pre-packaged refreshments and more.

Q: How much are tickets?
Tickets are $30 per vehicle.
Q: Where do I buy tickets?
Tickets are advanced purchase online only. Tickets will not be sold on site. Click here for the schedule with links to purchase tickets. Sales will cease when sold-out or at 8pm on the day-of the film, whichever comes first.
Q: How will the sound work?
Audio will be delivered via FM transmitter. Guests should bring a portable radio or be prepared to tune their car radio to a FM station. There are also a number of apps for smartphones that you can download to tune to the FM station.
Q: Are you limiting the number of ticket sales?
Yes, ticket sales are limited to 75 vehicles.
Q: How do I get in the day of the show?
You will receive a confirmation email after you purchase your ticket. Please bring a print of your confirmation email (or be able to show on device). Your confirmation email will show a campus map with preferred arrival and check-in procedure.
Q: Where do I go when I arrive on the day of the show?

Q: What time can I arrive?
Gates open at 8:15 pm. Parking location is determined on vehicle size — larger trucks and vans will be parked in areas behind medium and small sized vehicles so that everyone will be able to view the screen.
Q: Can I get out of my car?
You can watch the movie from outside your vehicle but must stay at your car. Blankets and lawn chairs can be used. If you need to leave your parking spot you must wear a mask.

Inclement weather may force us to cancel the show. Decisions will be made at approximately 3pm (at latest) each date. If the date is canceled due to weather, we will update on our Facebook page and website. A rain date will be offered and tickets will be transferred.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
Please no smoking or vaping.
Q: How are you addressing social distancing and COVID-19 safety precautions?
All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks during the event. You can read our Covid-19 Preparedness and Response program here.
Social Distancing Guidelines:
• Cars will parked in every other space.
• Social distancing of 6 feet or more must be maintained when out of vehicle.
• Mask or face covering must be worn at all times when out of vehicle.
• Lawn chairs/blankets are permitted in front of your own vehicle, but masks and social distancing still apply.
• Restrooms at the rear of building W-7 will be open to the public.
• Only one person is permitted in each restroom at any time (unless guest requires assistance from companion).
• Restroom attendant will wipe down touch points after each guest exits- faucet, handles, door knobs/plates.
• Chalk lines on walkway will help distinguish six foot distancing if in line for restroom.
Q: Are you selling concessions?
We’re excited to be working with Uncle Dave’s Kettle Korn who will be on campus for each of July Drive-In movie nights. They will have some soft drinks and refreshments available for purchase. You may pre-order items from their website here: www.udkettlekorn.com/movie
Q: What about the Workhouse Snack Boxes?
As a courtesy non-compete, and to try to drive sales for our vendor- we will not sell any new Snack Boxes via the ticketing site and will not sell any in person. For guests who have already purchased a Snacks Box through the ticketing site, those orders will be fulfilled and they will collect those when they arrive from a Workhouse Staffer.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes! Feel free to bring your own snacks or you can order food from local restaurants. When you purchase tickets you’ll see a list of local restaurants that offer curbside pick-up. Alcohol is not permitted.
