Contrary to its name, the dance focuses on more muscles groups than just the belly to include the abdomen, pelvis, trunk, spine, and neck. Muscles in the legs are also used to keep the dancer balanced while the arms and upper back muscles are engaged through various arm movements. This form of dance can aid in digestion and can be an excellent prenatal workout.
