Workhouse Arts Center is proud to announce a Call for Entries for the 3rd Biennial Fiber National Exhibition! Fiber National showcases the best in contemporary fiber art from around the United States and highlights exciting, innovative artwork utilizing both traditional and non-traditional techniques. Paper Heroes Solo Exhibit featuring Craig Tinsky On View January 22 – March 9, 2020 Artist Talk & Reception: February 8, 6pm – 8pm In Paper Heroes, Craig Tinsky pushes the boundaries of the papercut medium by creating work that resembles paintings, screen prints, etchings and photographs. Drawing inspiration from black and white photography as well as digital pixilation, Tinsky introduces his signature style called Ribbon-Halftone. He cuts meticulously measured, wavy ribbons into sheets of paper, producing portraits so similar to photographs that they appear to have tiny details such as individual hairs and faint facial wrinkles.
