Open Call for Exhibits The Workhouse Arts Center offers artists and curators and groups opportunities to exhibit at the Workhouse in one of many galleries. This open call facilitates interested parties in communicating information to the Center. There is no deadline for entries. Applicants will be notified within three months of their submission date. Entry Instructions: Open to all artists, groups or curators. Entry Fee: $30 administrative fee. Funding: As a non-profit, the Workhouse may offer exhibit space, basic installation support and basic in house advertising but does not necessarily fund all/additional exhibit needs. Open Call, Warrior Way Gallery Workhouse Arts Center is pleased to present Warrior Way, an exhibition space designated to display artwork by active, duty, retired and veteran service members. Our exhibition landscape consists of providing contemporary, progressive programming from both local and national artists. This open call facilitates interested artists, curators and art collectives in applying for this opportunity. There is no deadline for entries. The artwork found in the windows of building 12 and 13 highlight the group of artists who were selected for the 2015 Director’s Collection.
The Director’s Collection highlights artists who demonstrate an outstanding understanding of craft, technique, creativity and artist merit. Those nominated are Studio Artists, Resident Artists or Associate Artists at the Workhouse Arts Center; and stand out as emerging or professional artists making a substantial impact in their field.Find out more »

Join us every Saturday, beginning September 29th! The WMAI Open Studio is intended to foster creativity and encourage experimentation in an atmosphere of cultural exchange, conversation, encouragement, and freedom of expression. The Open Studio is monitored and run by Yonsenia White, MS, ATR (Registered Art Therapist, Resident in Counseling). Designed to bring Military families, Veterans, Retirees, Active Duty and Reservists together, the WMAI Open Studio allows the current or former Service Member a chance to express themselves artistically, and work alongside fellow Service Members in a safe and creativity-fueled environment.
