Open Call for Exhibits The Workhouse Arts Center offers artists and curators and groups opportunities to exhibit at the Workhouse in one of many galleries.  This open call facilitates interested parties in communicating information to the Center.  There is no deadline for entries. Applicants will be notified within three months of their submission date. Entry Instructions:  Open to all artists, groups or curators. Entry Fee:   $25 administrative fee. Funding:   As a non-profit, the Workhouse may offer exhibit space, basic installation support and basic in house advertising but does not necessarily fund all/additional exhibit needs. Workhouse Campus RFI

Fairfax County and the Workhouse Arts Foundation are looking for innovative ideas to continue transforming the historically significant, 50-plus acre Workhouse Arts campus into the first mixed-used arts campus in the county. The county and the Workhouse recently issued a request for expressions of interest, seeking proposed adaptive re-use concepts from businesses, nonprofits or individuals. The two entities are asking for cultural, educational, residential, commercial or other uses that complement the Workhouse Arts Center’s existing studio, gallery and museum spaces. After a 3-month tour in Fairfax County, the Virginia tourism LOVEwork sign will be permanently installed at Workhouse Arts Center. The Virginia is for Lover’s marketing campaign is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019 and has introduced this special activation. Workhouse Arts Center is pleased to invite professional artists to submit artwork proposals to decorate the LOVEworks sign. Workhouse Arts Center is proud to announce a Call for Entries for the 3rd Biennial Fiber National Exhibition! Fiber National showcases the best in contemporary fiber art from around the United States and highlights exciting, innovative artwork utilizing both traditional and non-traditional techniques.
