The reshaping space exhibition features select wall-work installations by Kristen Morsches, Laurel Lukaszewski, Lori Katz and Novie Trump.

The works explore a consistency in addressing the concept of space – taking up, filling and playing with positive and negative. The exhibition challenges the versatility of 3D ceramic work by examining its overflow from the wall into open air and is on view in the McGuireWoods Gallery from February 29 through April 26, 2020.

Chris Gustin is a former Associate Professor of Ceramics and the senior faculty of the ceramics program at University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. After twenty years of teaching and working with hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students, he retired from academia in 1999 to devote full time and energies to his studio work and tile production company.

This solo exhibit makes connections to the human figure using figurative analogies and is on view in the McGuireWoods Gallery from February 29 through April 26, 2020.

Concurrent with the NCECA 2020 conference theme of Multi(VA)lent: Clay, Mindfulness, Memory, Re-sisters will present a dynamic presentation of contemporary ceramic artwork by women artists from the state of Virginia.
