On View: February 12 – May 2
Workhouse Arts Center is proud to present Mouna Benserradj’s “Vertigo,” an exhibition featuring impressionistic oil pastel illustrations. Benserradj’s mark making shows her study and practice of impressionistic techniques in her pastel drawings exemplified by the short, thick strokes of pastel and vivid contrasting colors. The strong colors and short marks in Benserradj’s drawings also create the sensational and emotional feeling of an intense vertigo- a condition where a person has the sensation of themselves or surrounding objects moving, even when they are not.
