“Summer Table” – Two Takes on Convivial Dining May 2021 Building 8 Featured Artists Pam Eisenmann and Joan Ulrich
“Summer Table” – Two Takes on Convivial Dining is on display May 7th through August 29th 2021 with an opening reception on Saturday afternoon, June 5th 2021 from 4 – 5:30.
Inspired by the approaching season of serving and sharing food and drink, ceramic artists Pam Eisenmann and Joan Ulrich present a rotating exhibit and sale of tableware for the summer months. Joan is feeling cautious optimism, “hope that we will (finally!) gather with friends again.” She spent the start of the pandemic focused on quiet home life by making herself a few new dinner plates for porch meals. This summer she wants to offer a selection of lively occasional pieces, artworks that talk about a social life; wine tumblers, appetizer plates, service ware and more. Pam senses a lightness in the season. “I was inspired by an upcoming family wedding and the celebratory feelings it brings.” Spring and summer offer days for enjoying garden bounty on colorful salad plates, serving ware, flowers in bricks and vases, and savoring liquid refreshment in mugs and sippers.
