Trick or Treat. The Choice is Yours.
Are You Game Enough to Play?

The Workhouse Arts Center celebrates our 10th annual Haunted Trail by bringing scares and laughs to the Halloween season. Haunt: Game Over immerses guests through a highly themed walk-through experience, as creepy characters deliver contactless scares in multiple scenes. Guests will travel in small groups via a timed entry for a frightening experience that brings them next to abandoned, historic buildings where they will encounter terrifying characters and sights that are not for the faint of heart.

Haunt will run every Friday, Saturday, Sunday (and Halloween night) from October 6 -31. The spirits will get loud with live music on Fridays, Saturdays, and Halloween night, with a rotating schedule of band performances in the Rizer Pavilion, which also serves as the check-in area and ‘virtual line’ for Haunt entry. The slate of talent will be updated on our website and ticketing pages as each band is confirmed. Food trucks, soft drinks, snacks, wine, beer, and themed-specialty drinks will be available for purchase on campus.

Auditions Open for Scare Actors and Support Roles!

If there is a light/mild rain, this event will likely still operate. If there is heavy rain or severe weather, it may not run (or may have partial hours). Please watch our Facebook page or check the Workhouse website for any inclement weather updates. If the weather causes a full cancellation, you will be contacted via email for options for your tickets.

  • Q: What is the refund policy?

This fundraising event is following a no-refund policy. If you are unable to attend, you may:

Gift your ticket to a friend/neighbor to use

If the Workhouse cancels an evening of the event for any reason, you will be contacted within 48 hours about refund or re-schedule options.

  • Q: What if I arrive late on the night of my reservation? Can I go through at a later time?

Our team will do our best to accommodate your ticket for a later slot that same night, but cannot guarantee entry if we are sold to capacity or if the timeline is running slower than anticipated. If you are only a few minutes late, the best advice would be to check-in as soon as you arrive.

  • Q: Is this a walk-through or ride-through?

This is an outdoor walk-through attraction over a variety of terrain (e.g., paved surfaces, grassy areas, and mulched pathways), comfortable shoes are highly recommended. The attraction is wheelchair accessible.

  • Q: Can I walk around campus while I’m waiting?

In order to keep the attraction spoiler-free, guests will be restricted from accessing some areas of the campus.

  • Q: Can we arrive in costume to join in the fun?

For safety reasons, we do not allow guests to wear costumes, scary make-up or full-face masks when experiencing the attraction. While medical-style masks that cover nose and moth are no longer a requirement, guests that prefer to wear this style of mask at events will be permitted to do so.

  • Q: Is this appropriate for kids?

While you will know your children best, this experience is not recommended for youth under the age of 13.

  • Q: Are the performers allowed to touch me? Am I allowed to touch them?

    No and no.

  • Q: May I bring my dog to the Haunted Trail?

Due to the unique nature of this event, pets are not permitted on campus during event hours for their own safety and comfort. The Rizer Pavilion can get quite loud, and there are unexpected scares everywhere on campus during event nights. Service dogs are welcome on campus at any time, of course.
