Maryam Rassapour creates art that explores women’s experiences and feminist themes. Inspired by her childhood and cultural roots, she uses mixed media to express the emotions, struggles, and strength of women. Her work combines personal memories with broader social issues, especially the expectations and limitations placed on women in traditional societies.
Using form, texture, and symbolism, she creates a space where reality and dreams blend together. Abstract shapes in her work often represent hidden voices, pain, and resilience. Each piece invites the viewer to look beyond the surface and connect with the deeper meaning.
She has over 20 years experience in the creative field. She also works in animation and teaches art privately in her studio.
She holds a BFA / MFA in Visual Communication Arts from Azad University in Tehran.
