The Workhouse Arts Center presents contemporary exhibitions that feature local, national, and international artists at all levels of their art careers in three galleries in the W-16 Visitors Center. The Vulcan and Muse Galleries (1st floor) and the McGuire Woods Gallery (2nd floor) are dynamic spaces that offer visitors a rich, ever-evolving experience of a large breadth of media, and an ongoing celebration of the creative spirit in a historic and inspiring setting. Visiting the galleries in W-16 is free and open to the public.

Additional galleries are located in buildings W-5 through W-10 and feature artwork by 70+ artists, the majority working in their own studios right on campus. Every month, solo or group exhibitions are planned and hosted by Workhouse Arts Center’s artists in their respective buildings. Visit the Monthly Featured Artists page to keep up to date.

There is always something different to see, as exhibitions change often in the galleries and artist studios. And, if you love what you see, you can take it home with you, as most of the artwork on campus is available for purchase.
