Carol Mather has been surrounded by art her entire life. Her mother was an artist who introduced her to a wide range of artistic practices and took her to countless museums, nurturing a love of creativity from an early age. Carol studied art at Radford University and later interned with master sculptors Aretha Gambaro and Roger Moore.

When sculpting supplies became too costly, she transitioned to acrylic painting, colored pencils, resin jewelry, and small Sculpey creations, while continuing to explore glass and clay. She sees her art as her legacy, and when someone connects with her work enough to bring it home, she feels that a small part of herself goes with it.
