W-10: “Routes” Paintings by Fernando Osorio. June 11 - July 6, 2025

Show Dates: May 7 - June 8, 2025
Opening Reception: June 14, 6-9pm
"Routes" presents a body of work that explores the expressive power of line, shape, color, and the dynamic 1 interplay between black and white. Most of the pieces in this exhibition were created in 2016, making this show, in part, a retrospective of that creative period. Rooted in the modern tradition of abstract art and inspired by the primal visual languages of cultures around the world, these works draw from geometry, archetypal symbols, nature, animals, and recurring patterns. I treat lines, shapes, and colors not just as compositional tools, but as characters—each with their own presence and voice. In this series, I have developed a personal visual language aimed at expressing the ineffable—ideas, emotions, and visions that emerge from the realm of the spirit. These works seek to connect the seen and the unseen, guiding the viewer through routes both internal and universal.
