This show is a celebration of the diversity of marine life. Using glass and wood, this show is composed of a series of miniature, sculptural oceanic scenes and sea life-inspired jewelry.
Originally from Lowell, MA, and currently hailing from Northern Virginia, Sarah Wicks is the flameworking glass artist and sculptor behind Wicked Lampworking. Sarah first starting working with glass over a decade ago at the Workhouse Art Center in Lorton, VA, where she now teaches a variety of hot glass classes and is an emerging studio artist. Sarah has taken flameworking classes from some of the best professional glass artists in the business, including: Paul Standard, Luccio Bubbaco, Shane Fero, Wesley Fleming, Robert Mickelsen, Chris Ahalt, Cedric Ginart, Karina Guevin, Deb Crowley, and Astrid Riedel. Her studio is located in building W-7, room 707A.
