The Workhouse Arts Center relies on a strong team of dedicated volunteers to ensure our arts, education, history, and community programs run smoothly. Opportunities change over time, but can include: special and regularly occurring events, curator and exhibition management support, museum docents, office and facility support, and more! Volunteer Opportunities
Below is a list of volunteer opportunities across campus and what they could include.

Front desk greeter and receptionist at our artist buildings. Training required.

Help us host Fireworks, Fall Festival, and more!

Help with event set-up and take-down, assist event managers.

Assist our curator with painting walls and pedestals. Must be able to lift 50lbs.escription

Share the history of Lorton/Occoquan Workhouse and Prison Facility with visitors. Training and minimum time commitment required.
