A Legacy in Watercolor - 50 Years of Artistic Excellence in the Potomac Valley
For over 50 years the Potomac Valley Watercolorists organization has been a beacon for excellence in watercolor and water media in the Potomac valley area. Originally founded by eight local artists who came together with the goal of fostering the highest levels of artistry in water media. From the early days with its 35 charter members, the organization has grown to over 200 strong, with new members being juried in annually

Variety, vibrancy and versatility
PVW has become synonymous with the highest standards of skill, creativity and commitment to water media. For this exhibition, PVW invited its members to submit a painting that they feel exemplifies their best work, or that has special meaning to them. Watercolor is a challenging medium, but this exhibit will show how skilled artists can take it and create paintings with stunning levels of variety, vibrancy and versatility.
