EqualiTEA: Tea & Tour
Join us for EqualiTEA hosted by the Lorton Prison Museum featuring the Lucy Burns Gallery, a unique program that connects you to the history of the suffrage movement at the Workhouse Arts Center. As Virginia prepares to elect its first-ever female governor, we look back at the suffragists' fight for the right to vote right here at the Workhouse Arts Center site.
On Saturday, October 25, at 2 PM, enjoy a special tea service provided by tea enthusiast Nancy Rodriguez of Cup & Crown. Learn how suffragists used tea and tea parties for planning and fundraising as you sip a variety of specially selected teas. The program concludes with a guided tour of the museum, featuring the exhibit on the suffragists who were imprisoned at the Workhouse in 1917.
