Do you dare? History in the dark…

Step into the shadows of history this Haunt season for an exclusive, atmospheric Flashlight Tour of the former Occoquan Workhouse grounds. Guided by the flickering beam of your flashlight, this guided walk strips away the Hollywood gimmicks and supernatural legends to reveal the unvarnished real history of one of the country's most notorious correctional facilities.

Your tour begins inside the Lorton Prison Museum, takes you through the historic cell block and outside through the infamous Murder Alley. You'll see these abandoned, un-rehabilitated prison buildings not in a new light, but without light.

No actors, no jump scares, and no fiction—just true history that is truly unsettling.

Event Highlights:

• Duration: 15–20 minutes

• Includes: A souvenir flashlight to keep!

• Route: Covers the museum interior, historic cellblock, and a portion of the back, un-rehabilitated side of campus.

• Admission: $10-15 per person (ticket price varies by night; available for purchase on-site during The Haunt).

• Schedule: Running continuously throughout Workhouse Haunt nights—perfect to experience before or after your Haunt timeslot or while you are waiting for friends and family to finish the trail.

• No Registrations Required! Last tour leaves no later than 9:45PM. If Haunt activities end early on a given night, Flashlight Tours will also stop running.

Visitors interested in exploring our full historical exhibits are encouraged to visit during regular operating hours: Fri–Sat 11 AM–6 PM, Sun 12–5 PM., or to schedule a private guided tour at a preferred time.)
