The artist departed the mortal realm in search of a better reality. She ended up in the Goblin Market, where she was kidnapped by satyrs, rescued by moths, and definitely lost track of time. She has since returned (regrettably) with artifacts of her adventures across a wide variety of mediums for your viewing pleasure.

Ava is an artist working in any medium that strikes her fancy. This show represents a return to the textile and fiber arts she thought she had abandoned in order to be a Serious Fine Artist who only paints Serious Things in Serious Oil Paint. This year, she has embraced her inner art goblin and will only create things that make her chuckle and/or cackle. At the heart of all her work—in this show and beyond—is a profound love of the natural world and figurative draftsmanship paired with the unshakeable hope (possibly foolishness) that if we cultivate enough joy, we might be able to mend that which is broken around us.
