Reception for Solipsis by Lydia Semenov

Solipsis is a collection of work by a biologist and self-taught artist that offers viewers a dreamlike window into the inimitable beauty of various flora and fauna, often highlighting species who aren’t usually viewed as beautiful or praiseworthy. Lydia’s art style mixes realism with the abstract, using micron pens and black gouache to create both bold and textually detailed visuals.
