Opening Reception: November 8, 2025, Saturday 6 - 9pm
For the last few years, Linda Condray has been collecting stones and mineral specimens from across the United States to use in her ongoing Renewal Orchid Series. In this exhibition, she highlights some of her favorite stones and their corresponding orchids. Her rockhounding adventures have taken her from Maine to Oregon and Arkansas, where she has gathered mica, crystals, and obsidian. This journey has been a joyful exploration of the diverse and beautiful rocks found throughout the country, and she hopes audiences will enjoy this presentation as much as she has enjoyed creating it.
Linda Condray has been working with glass since 1992. She discovered her favorite medium while living on Guam, where a neighbor introduced her to traditional stained glass techniques. Since then, she has explored many forms of glasswork—often combining them to create her unique pieces.
Linda has been teaching flameworking at the Workhouse Arts Center since 2016 and takes great joy in introducing students to the dynamic experience of working with glass in the flame environment. She became a resident artist at the Workhouse in August 2021 and treasures the camaraderie and creative energy of the Glasshouse community, where she feels privileged to create and share her art.
