A collection of new, original watercolors—Pears and Stairs, Felines and Flowers, and Fields and Streams. Each began as a classroom demonstration for Gwen Bragg’s students and has since been developed into a finished painting.

Gwen Bragg is an artist, workshop leader, and art instructor based in Alexandria, Virginia. She holds a BS in Art Education and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from James Madison University. Bragg teaches watercolor at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia, where she maintains her studio.

In addition to an annual workshop in Orkney Springs, Virginia, she regularly leads international painting workshops to destinations known for compelling architecture, artifacts, and geology; past locations include Croatia, Greece, Italy, Spain, France, Mexico, and Peru.

Bragg holds signature membership in the National Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society, Alabama Watercolor Society, Baltimore Watercolor Society, and Virginia Watercolor Society. She is a past president of both Potomac Valley Watercolorists and the Virginia Watercolor Society. Her work is included in the collections of the National Institutes of Health, the Carrier Library at James Madison University, Philip Morris, American Bank, and the Petersburg Area Art League.
